The Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers is pleased to once again present its Annual Ethics Seminar designed especially for Criminal Defense Lawyers. This is a great opportunity to earn the 3 required ethics credits in the company of colleagues in the defense bar; you know that much of the value of these programs comes from others who practice criminal defense and are in the room with you, asking questions and offering insights into difficult ethical issues. Often the most worthwhile part of this seminar. Put list serve names with faces
Program Chairs Aaron Nelson and Mike Cohen have put together an outstanding line-up of speakers. The topics include the tension between zealous advocacy and contempt, unique ethical issues when representing juveniles, and ethical issues regarding pre-trial publicity. These are all relevant to your practice as a criminal defense lawyer.
Our speakers are all experienced and dynamic criminal defense attorneys with thoughtful and informative perspectives on the professional responsibilities of criminal defense lawyers.
Traditionally, WACDL announces the recipient of the David Niblack Award at this seminar. The purposes of this award are to recognize the contributions of an attorney to the effective defense of the indigent, either cumulative career contributions or outstanding accomplishments and to honor and preserve the memory of an outstanding attorney who devoted his life and considerable talents to the defense of those who needed it but could not pay for it.
Register today to earn your 3 CLE Ethics credits and spend a worthwhile morning with your colleagues.
